Recalledu does not sell personal information simply for monetary gain.

We may disclose information in appropriate circumstances, including:

Service providers: We may provide necessary information to companies that perform services on our behalf.

Students and instructors: Limited information may be shared between students and instructors when necessary to provide educational services or platform functionality.

Legal requirements: We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, lawful court orders, regulatory requirements, or valid legal processes.

Safety and security: Information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, security incidents, abuse, or threats to the rights or safety of Recalledu, our users, or others.

Business changes: If Recalledu undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale, or transfer of business assets, relevant information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate legal requirements.

With your direction or consent: We may disclose information when you specifically request, authorize, or consent to the disclosure.

When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal requirements and legitimate record-retention needs.

Deleting an account may not result in immediate deletion of every record where retention is necessary or permitted for legitimate legal, security, financial, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or backup purposes.

13. Your privacy choices and requests

Subject to applicable law and reasonable verification, users may contact Recalledu to request assistance concerning their personal information, including requests to:

  • Review or access certain account information;
  • Correct inaccurate or outdated information;
  • Update profile information;
  • Delete an account or request deletion of eligible personal information;
  • Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent;
  • Manage certain communications; or
  • Raise a privacy concern or complaint.

Some information may need to be retained despite a deletion request where retention is required or permitted by applicable law or reasonably necessary for legitimate operational purposes.

14. Marketing communications

Where Recalledu sends optional promotional communications, users may be provided with a way to unsubscribe or change their communication preferences.

Even after opting out of promotional communications, users may still receive essential communications relating to their accounts, purchases, courses, instructor activities, security, payments, policy changes, or other service-related matters.

15. Children’s privacy

Recalledu should not be used by children who are legally unable to consent to the collection and processing of their personal information without authorization from a parent or legal guardian.

We do not control the privacy practices of independent third parties. Users should review the privacy policies and terms of those services before providing them with personal information.

18. Instructor responsibilities

Instructors who receive personal information about students through Recalledu must use that information only for legitimate purposes connected with their courses and authorized platform activities.

Unless separately authorized or legally permitted, instructors should not:

  • Sell student personal information;
  • Use student information for unrelated advertising;
  • Export or collect unnecessary student data;
  • Share student information with unauthorized parties; or
  • Contact students outside Recalledu for unrelated purposes without appropriate permission.

An instructor who independently collects or processes personal information outside Recalledu may have separate legal responsibilities for that processing.

Users should create strong passwords and protect their account credentials.

You should not intentionally share your password or permit unauthorized individuals to use your account. If you believe your Recalledu account has been compromised, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
