Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation and Refund Policy – Recalledu

Effective date: 8 August 2026
Last updated: 8 August 2026

Website: Recalledu.com

Welcome to Recalledu. This Cancellation and Refund Policy explains the rules that apply when students purchase courses, request cancellations or refunds, or experience problems with a course purchased through Recalledu.

Recalledu operates as an online learning platform where students can purchase and access courses offered by instructors. We aim to maintain a fair system that protects students while respecting the time, knowledge, and digital content provided by instructors.

By purchasing a course through Recalledu, you agree to this Cancellation and Refund Policy together with our applicable Terms and Conditions and other platform policies.

1. Scope of this policy

This Policy applies to eligible course purchases made directly through Recalledu.

It covers:

  • Student course cancellations;
  • Course-fee refund requests;
  • Duplicate or incorrect payments;
  • Courses cancelled or removed by Recalledu;
  • Courses affected by serious technical or access problems;
  • Instructor-related cancellations; and
  • Other refund situations approved by Recalledu.

This Policy does not automatically apply to transactions made outside Recalledu or payments made directly between a student and an instructor.

2. Cancellation of a course purchase

A student may request cancellation of a course purchase before accessing or meaningfully using the purchased course content.

Because online courses contain digital educational materials that may become immediately available after enrollment, cancellation eligibility may end once the student has substantially accessed, viewed, downloaded, completed, or otherwise consumed the course or its materials.

Students should therefore review the course description, curriculum, instructor information, price, requirements, and other available information carefully before completing a purchase.

3. Refund eligibility

A student may be eligible for a refund when one or more of the following circumstances apply:

Course not accessed: The student purchased a course but has not meaningfully accessed or consumed its learning materials.

Duplicate payment: The same course purchase was accidentally charged more than once.

Incorrect transaction: An incorrect amount was charged because of a verified technical or payment-processing error.

Course unavailable: A purchased course becomes unavailable before the student has had a reasonable opportunity to access it.

Course cancelled by Recalledu: Recalledu cancels or permanently removes a paid course and cannot reasonably provide continued access or a suitable solution.

Significant technical problem: A verified technical problem attributable to Recalledu prevents the student from accessing the purchased course and cannot be resolved within a reasonable period.

Materially misleading course information: The delivered course is substantially different from its published description in a way that materially affects the student’s purchase.

Refund eligibility is determined by the Recalledu team after reviewing the circumstances of each request.

4. Non-refundable circumstances

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or specifically approved by Recalledu, a refund may be refused where:

  • The student has substantially accessed or completed the course;
  • A substantial portion of videos or lessons has already been viewed;
  • Downloadable course materials have been downloaded or used extensively;
  • The student has completed assessments or received a course certificate;
  • The refund request is based solely on a change of mind after meaningful course use;
  • The student purchased a course without reviewing clearly disclosed course requirements;
  • The student’s device, internet connection, browser, or unsupported software causes the access problem;
  • The student’s account has been suspended or terminated for serious violations of Recalledu’s policies;
  • Recalledu reasonably identifies attempted refund abuse, fraud, or misuse; or
  • The transaction occurred outside the Recalledu payment system.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to remove any refund or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

5. Refund request period

Students should submit refund requests as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue with their purchase.

Where Recalledu displays a specific refund period on a course checkout page, promotional offer, or purchase confirmation, that disclosed period may apply to the relevant transaction.

Submitting a request within an applicable period does not automatically guarantee a refund. Recalledu may review course-access history, transaction information, the reason for the request, and other relevant circumstances before making a decision.

6. How to request a refund

To request a cancellation or refund, the student should contact Recalledu through the designated support channel and provide:

  • Full name;
  • Registered email address or account information;
  • Course name;
  • Order or transaction number;
  • Purchase date;
  • Amount paid;
  • Reason for requesting the refund; and
  • Relevant evidence, screenshots, or other information where appropriate.

Incomplete requests may take longer to review.

Refund Contact: contact@recalledu.com

7. Review and approval

All refund requests are subject to review by the Recalledu team.

During the review, we may consider:

  • Payment records;
  • Course-access history;
  • Lesson or video activity;
  • Downloads;
  • Course completion status;
  • Previous refund activity;
  • Communications with the instructor;
  • Technical records; and
  • Other information reasonably relevant to the request.

Recalledu may request additional information from the student or instructor before reaching a decision.

Approval or rejection will be based on this Policy, the circumstances of the transaction, and applicable legal requirements.

8. Refund amount

When a standard course refund is approved, the refundable amount will generally be limited to the eligible course fee actually paid by the student.

Third-party charges, bank fees, currency-conversion charges, mobile financial service fees, payment-gateway charges, or similar external costs may not be refundable where they are not returned to Recalledu or where applicable law permits them to be excluded.

If a discount, coupon, credit, or promotional offer was used, any approved refund will generally be calculated using the amount actually paid rather than the course’s regular listed price.

9. Refund processing

Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method where reasonably possible.

The time required for the refund to appear may depend on the bank, payment gateway, mobile financial service, card provider, or other payment processor involved.

Once Recalledu has successfully initiated an approved refund, delays caused solely by an independent payment provider may be outside Recalledu’s control.

Where refunding to the original payment method is impossible, Recalledu may offer another appropriate refund method where legally and operationally permitted.

10. Access after a refund

When a full refund for a course is approved, Recalledu may immediately or subsequently:

  • Cancel the student’s enrollment;
  • Remove access to the refunded course;
  • Disable access to downloadable materials associated with that course where technically possible;
  • Cancel an unearned certificate; and
  • Remove other benefits specifically associated with the refunded purchase.

A student should not continue using refunded course materials where continued use would violate Recalledu’s terms or the instructor’s intellectual-property rights.

11. Course cancellation by an instructor

An instructor should not cancel, remove, or materially discontinue a paid course in a manner that unfairly affects enrolled students.

If an instructor becomes unable to continue providing a course, the instructor should notify Recalledu promptly.

Depending on the circumstances, Recalledu may:

  • Maintain student access to existing materials;
  • Require the instructor to address the issue;
  • Provide an alternative solution;
  • Offer platform credit where appropriate and accepted;
  • Issue eligible refunds; or
  • Take other reasonable action to protect affected students.

12. Course removal by Recalledu

Recalledu may suspend or remove a course for reasons including:

  • Violation of platform policies;
  • Copyright or intellectual-property concerns;
  • Fraud or deceptive practices;
  • Safety or legal concerns;
  • Serious quality issues;
  • Instructor account suspension;
  • Regulatory requirements; or
  • Other circumstances requiring removal.

If removal materially prevents students from receiving a course they legitimately purchased, Recalledu will assess an appropriate solution, which may include restoration of access, replacement, credit, or a refund where appropriate.

13. Instructor earnings and refunded purchases

An instructor’s earnings from a course sale may remain pending for a reasonable settlement period to account for refunds, payment reversals, fraud reviews, or other adjustments.

If a student receives a valid refund for a transaction for which instructor earnings have not yet been paid, the corresponding instructor earnings may be cancelled or adjusted.

If instructor earnings have already been paid, Recalledu may adjust future instructor balances or take other reasonable steps permitted under the instructor agreement and applicable law.

14. Chargebacks and payment disputes

Students are encouraged to contact Recalledu first when experiencing a payment or course-access problem so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve it.

If a chargeback or payment dispute is submitted through a bank, card issuer, mobile financial service, or payment provider, Recalledu may provide relevant transaction and course-access records to the payment provider as reasonably necessary to respond to the dispute.

Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in restrictions on the relevant account where permitted.

15. Promotional courses, coupons and discounts

Refunds for discounted courses will generally be based on the amount actually paid.

Coupons, promotional discounts, bonus credits, or other non-cash promotional benefits normally have no independent cash value and will not ordinarily be converted into cash as part of a refund.

Special promotional campaigns may have additional cancellation or refund conditions. Where applicable, those conditions should be disclosed before purchase.

16. Free courses

Courses offered completely free of charge are not eligible for monetary refunds because no course fee was paid.

Students may discontinue participation in a free course at any time, subject to the functionality available through their Recalledu account.

17. Refund abuse

Recalledu reserves the right to investigate patterns that reasonably indicate abuse of the refund system.

Examples may include repeatedly purchasing courses, consuming substantial content, and then seeking refunds without a legitimate reason.

Where reasonable evidence of fraud or systematic abuse exists, Recalledu may reject an otherwise discretionary refund request and may restrict relevant account activities, subject to applicable law.

18. Instructor responsibilities

Instructors are responsible for accurately describing their courses and providing the educational content and services represented on their course pages.

Instructors must not:

  • Publish intentionally misleading course descriptions;
  • Falsely advertise course features or outcomes;
  • Manipulate students into surrendering legitimate refund rights;
  • Ask students to make unauthorized payments outside Recalledu to avoid platform rules; or
  • Interfere improperly with Recalledu’s investigation of a refund request.

Recalledu may take appropriate action against instructors who repeatedly generate legitimate refund complaints or violate platform policies.

19. Exceptional circumstances

Recalledu understands that unusual circumstances may occur.

We may consider refund requests outside the ordinary rules in cases involving serious platform failures, verified unauthorized transactions, significant errors, legal requirements, or other exceptional situations.

Any discretionary exception made in one case does not require Recalledu to make the same exception in another case with different circumstances.

20. Changes to this policy

Recalledu may update this Cancellation and Refund Policy periodically to reflect changes to our courses, payment systems, business practices, platform features, or applicable requirements.

The latest version will be published on Recalledu with an updated revision date.

For purchases already completed, we will apply any policy changes subject to applicable law and the terms that governed the relevant transaction.
